Security Operations Engineer (Endpoint, CrowdStrike) – Banking – Brussels

My banking client based in Brussel is looking for a Security Engineer to join the team on a freelance mission.
Job description
1. Depending on the domain and product these tasks can include:
2. Daily configuration updates to implement (customer) requests following the formal change process.
3. Check the compliance of the configuration and implementation against defined technical security standards and product baselines.
4. Ensure that the platform is properly configured and active on all the managed assets.
5. Ensure virus detection and prevention (or protection level score) on those assets are up to date.
6. Problem resolution and support. Work together with other technical teams on operational incident.
7. As the process owner, initiate any configuration review/recertification process and work with the other stakeholders (business and technical) to periodically review product configurations and implementation to validate the accuracy and correctness.
8. KPI delivery to report on the execution of these tasks
9. Contribute to any future projects: collect stakeholder (compliance, risk, security) demands, customize and implement solutions.
Technical skills
10. At least a few years of relevant experience in IT security with the right security mindset.
11. A strong technical background of the technologies and infrastructure solutions in the Endpoint Detection and Response domain. (very important)
12. Operational experience with CrowdStrike. (Very important)
13. Any experience in the following domains/products is a plus
14. CASB
15. IDS/IPS
16. SOAR
17. Programming: Python
18. Sufficient business and management stakeholder engagement.
Soft skills
19. Customer service oriented.
20. You are a very good communicator in English, both verbal and written, and able to discuss and defend the security interests with individuals and groups of IT (security) experts.
21. You are a team player who communicates in an open, respectful and constructive way with his customers and peers, both verbally and in writing. You will take ownership and ensure that organizational quality standards are met.
22. Attention to (good) time management with the right sense for prioritisation.
