Field Service Engineer (Field/Mobile Mechanic/Vehicle Technician)
Location: Glasgow Territory
Working Hours: 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: A GBP 31,000 - A GBP 36,000 Starting Salary

A Field Service Engineer role is available with a market leader in forklift trucks. This position is ideal for those seeking a local field-based role, with ample training, overtime opportunities, and clear progression routes, while enjoying a healthy work-life balance.
The company has a comprehensive training plan in place to fully support engineers in the field. Candidates with experience in cars, HGVs, agriculture, motorbikes, plant equipment, or similar will be well-suited for this role. You should demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally with engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills.
As part of a team in the area, you will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a range of forklifts and associated equipment in Glasgow. No overnight stays or extensive travel is required. Overtime is available if desired, mostly during the week, and call-out is optional.
The Field Service Engineer Role In Brief:
1. Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis.
2. Provide reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area.
3. Complete comprehensive training to become fully competent on all machinery and equipment.
4. Ensure spares are placed in the van overnight.
