Outpatients Healthcare Assistant – Gynae London :The Portland Hospital, Full time: Monday – Saturday 37.5 hours per week Shift times: Service is open between 7.45am – 8pm with various shift patterns ( combination of shifts- flexibility required) Monday -Friday 07:45-20:00pm and 2 Saturday’s a month – 07:45- 13:45pm. Fixed Term Contract until 28/02/2026 Salary: competitive dependent on experience A unique opportunity for a Health Care Assistants ideally with previous Outpatient experience to join a fast-paced service for women attending clinics at The Portland Hospital. The role will involve working with Nurses, Consultants and other Healthcare Assistants. The role will involve providing patient care of the highest quality to patients under the supervision of the nursing team. You will also be expected to carry out a range of key administrative tasks, including pathology ordering and completing charge sheets for patients and consultants. Provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision of trained staff Develop competence in carrying out basic observations, record the results, and chaperone as requested To notify senior staff of changes/concerns in a patient’s condition Monitor stock levels and order when required. Ensure clinical areas are kept tidy and clinic rooms are stocked appropriately Clean and check equipment, reporting faults. Escort patients as required, either within the hospital or beyond Undertake administrative duties as required e.g. filing and ordering pathology test Assist with capturing patient and consultant charges Gather patient information related to registration Set up and tidy rooms for consultant use Deal with enquiries and refer as appropriate Liaison with consultants, managers, staff and patients.
