BCA Fleet Solutions main area of expertise is in Fleet Management solutions and Defleet & Refurbishment, all the cinch vehicles are prepared by Fleet Solutions Now, this is where you fit in… As a FS System Tester, you will be responsible for understanding user journeys and functional requirements, developing and implementing test plans and test cases, and contributing to the overall success of our projects. Your role will involve collaboration with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers and Business Users to maintain high-quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities: Work closely with the Product Owner and FS IT Team to comprehend user journeys and functional requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of all FS systems and back office admin system. The post holder will develop and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases, ensuring coverage of all relevant scenarios. Execute tests on various platforms and devices to validate the functionality of FS applications. Create and maintain regression test packs to ensure that new updates do not adversely impact existing functionalities. Support the test team in delivering QA responsibilities, fostering a collaborative environment for efficient testing processes. Collaborate with developers to find solutions to challenges and actively contribute to the overall success of the projects. Report progress and issues, providing clear and concise updates on testing status. Demonstrate the ability to detect and resolve issues promptly to ensure the reliability and functionality of all systems. Own the Quality process within the team making sure that it’s defined, understood and followed so that the process protects us. Stay updated with the latest testing techniques and software, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Willingly acquire new skills that contribute to the enhancement of the QA team's capabilities. Liaising with the business and providing testing advice and support. Proactively develop and maintain a solid technical working knowledge of BCA’s business and enterprise applications across several divisions and business areas. Be a self-starter and an experienced system tester with proven ability to establish Quality processes and practices for others to follow. Knowledge and Experience: Required Skills: Previous experience in a QA role and have a good level of knowledge around all aspects of QA testing and an understanding of the wider software development lifecycle, underpinned by theory and professional experience. Ability to challenge requirements and collaborate with developers to find solutions. To lead, inspire and motivate others to high performance by agreeing clear goals and objectives, providing support and guidance and creating opportunities for development. Understanding of user journeys and functional requirements. Ability to develop and implement test plans and test cases. Experience of creating and maintaining regression test packs. Test execution on various platforms and devices. Reporting progress and issues to the relevant parties. Detection and resolution of issues. To promote and facilitate innovation and continuous improvement to deliver better services for service users and BCA. Must be familiar with and comfortable discussing technical items at a high level. Must be flexible and adaptable in the face of changing priorities or circumstances. Must have strong analysis skills and logical approach to problem solving with a high attention to detail. Must be able to manage own time successfully, prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines. Must have meticulous attention to detail with an ability to work in a methodical manner. Experience of Automation Testing or willingness to learn. ISEB or ISQTB foundation certificate in software testing at a minimum. Desirable Skills: Experience in the automotive industry. Experience with People and dealing with customers (can be internal). Knowledge of SQL. Preferably the ability to be able to insert / update tables, write / modify complex SQL queries, create functions. A keen interest in DevOps and Cloud technologies would be desirable.
