Would you like to support University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Trust in continuing to improve quality and patient safety? We have an exciting opportunity to join the Trust as a Patient safety Partner (PSP) (role 4). The PSP will be interacting with multiple stakeholders at senior management level, having the confidence to discuss strategic issues as an advocate for patient safety. With the ability to put forward views on behalf of the wider community, with an insight beyond own experience.
The Patient safety Partner will be actively involved in the design of safer healthcare. This includes roles in safety governance – e.g. sitting on relevant committees to support compliance monitoring and how safety issues should be addressed and providing appropriate challenge to ensure learning and change – and in the development and implementation of relevant strategy and policy.
Your key role will be to work with us to ensure that we prioritise the safety requirements of our patients, thereby maximising the things that go right and minimising the things that go wrong for people receiving our services. As a Patient Safety Partner (role 4), you will attend the Trust Quality Assurance Committee, to support the quality and safety agenda at the Trust. Providing appropriate challenge to ensure learning and improvement, ensuring consideration and prioritisation of the patients, carers and families, championing diversity of views.
