We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) Lead to join the Research and Innovation Directorate at University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM). We are committed to putting patients and the public at the heart of everything we do. We are delighted to offer this role, where you will play a pivotal part in shaping our patient-centred approach to research.
This is an opportunity for an experienced and compassionate leader to manage and grow our PPIE portfolio, ensuring that the voices of patients and the public are integral to the research process. You will help develop, manage, and implement our PPIE strategic objectives, working closely with both internal teams and external regional and national partners to enhance the way we engage with the communities we serve.
As the PPIE Lead, you will bring your expertise in patient and public involvement across a range of NHS specialties and community settings. You will oversee our existing PPIE advisory groups, as well as establish new groups for areas that currently lack dedicated support. By ensuring our engagement practices are inclusive and accessible, you will help ensure our public contributors receive the best possible care and support throughout their involvement.
The ideal candidate will have a background in PPIE, strong leadership skills, and a passion for creating meaningful connections with diverse communities. You will work collaboratively to build a dynamic support network across UHNM, ensuring that the voices of patients and the public are heard and valued in every stage of the research process.
