You will work closely with other package managers and internal and external stakeholders.
You will be joining a dynamic and highly motivated team of passionate energy professionals who have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in executing floating offshore wind projects.
Key Accountabilities:
* Overall responsibility for the concept, design, and delivery of the electrical infrastructure (including SCADA) for the UK floating offshore windfarms.
* Oversee the entire electrical system design covering the offshore inter-array system, export transmission system, and onshore infrastructure.
* Ensure safety by design in electrical engineering decisions, along with general H&S management of the team.
* Manage external engineering consultants to deliver specific electrical engineering work.
* Develop, review, update, modify, and approve electrical design plans of the offshore wind farms.
* Communication and coordination with other engineering and non-engineering team leaders.
* Ensure electrical work is delivered on time, on budget with zero errors.
* Establish relationships with suppliers and other professionals.

* Participate in the research and analysis of electrical equipment design proposals.
* Develop specifications for the required electrical equipment and technical documentation.
* Provide input to the definition of the required equipment at the offshore/onshore substation and validate design decisions.
* Collaborate in the definition of the wind farm layout and analysis of the interconnection solutions.
* Direct the field operations of the electrical system.
* Perform detailed engineering review of documentation describing equipment design, and installation and operation procedures.
* Liaison with the rest of project managers to ensure projects are completed to specifications.
* Participate in consultations with BEIS, Ofgem, CES, NGESO, or other stakeholders when required by the Strategic Grid and Electrical Lead.
* Continuously monitor and manage associated risks in relation to potential changes in the design, consenting, and project programme.
* Participate in technical clarification meetings with other managers and the project board.
* Provide technical support to commercial discussions for other packages (turbine, foundations, etc.).
* Contribute to the drafting and negotiation of early works engineering contracts, if required. Update the relevant lines of budgets (DEVEX, CAPEX, OPEX).
* Line management, performance monitoring, and hiring of the Electrical engineering team.
Essential Criteria:
