Fairhouse Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a Cover Supervisor to join our fantastic team as soon as possible.
The position is for 30 hours per week, 8:45am to 3:15pm with a 30 minute break, Monday to Friday. Term time only for 39 weeks a year (including 5 inset days)
Salary Scale 5 (Range 9 to 12) dependent on qualifications and experience. Actual starting salary £18,848 per annum, (which includes paid annual leave which must be taken during school closure periods).

Job Responsibilities
We are seeking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join our well-established team. The Cover Supervisor will cover lessons in the absence of the class teacher. This could be for planned cover (such as for PPA or for courses) or for emergency cover (sickness). You will also carry out the role of a Teaching Assistant and will support in delivering interventions when not needed for cover. Previous experience of covering lessons or a qualification, such as an HLTA qualification, will be required.

* is passionate about supporting all pupils, demonstrating empathy and understanding of different needs
* is confident and able to work with pupils with challenging needs, including social and emotional needs/behaviours
* has a good understanding of the EYFS and primary curriculum and skills to assist pupils in developing a good standard of attainment
* has good standard of English (written and spoken)
* is confident in delivering planned lessons to a whole class of pupils
* has an understanding of different special educational needs including autism
* works well as part of a team and has a commitment to improving and developing their own practice.
