To help our customers to develop and implement innovative solutions we are looking to expand our European Applications Engineering team with a motivated Ethernet IP Applications Engineer. As an Ethernet IP applications engineer you will serve as a technical subject matter expert for Altera’s Ethernet IP support offerings and engage as a trusted technical advisor to drive Altera's Ethernet apps engineer value and differentiation with customers. You will influence product planning and engineering to drive product improvements and associated protocols and provide customer enabling solutions and technical issue debug to enable our key European customers to successfully meet market demands. Your specific role will include the following: Collaborate with customer design teams to investigate and determine the root cause of complex systemic problems and propose solutions and workarounds. Collaborate with Sales, Factory Application, and Engineering teams to help prioritise the resolution of critical customer cases. Utilizing deep domain and market segment expertise to support customer applications and solutions. Work closely with field engineering and customer design teams to assist in the design and implementation of Ethernet IP solutions in Altera FPGAs Perform design evaluations and recommend strategies to implement and optimize Ethernet designs for important design opportunities. Research, develop, and prototype demos and proof of concept designs that could be shared with customers to drive faster adoption of Altera FPGA product capabilities. Evaluate new software/IP and provide feedback to development teams to improve the quality of Altera tools, IP, and methodologies. Anticipate future customer requirements and contribute to product planning and definition of product enhancements. Evaluate new features, perform corner-case testing, and demonstrate performance to key European customers. Collaborate with cross functional teams for issue resolution and validation and provide feedback to engineering on Ethernet IP quality and customer experience. Influence and support the WW regional applications team as an Ethernet subject matter expert. Qualifications: BSc in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
