Client Details Our client are an industry leading business going through a period of growth meaning it will be a fantastic time to join the company. They are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant with a strong background within transactional finance looking for more exposure. Description The key responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant will include: Purchase Ledger and expense tasks - Accurately process all supplier invoices, verifying currency, tax rates, and any additional charges in a timely manner. Promptly resolve any discrepancies to ensure on-time payments and a smooth audit trail. Credit Control - Take ownership of credit checks, proactively contact customers in advance of invoices being paid, consistently follow up on unpaid invoices, and escalate issues as needed. Sales Ledger tasks and sales order processing - You will be responsible for ensuring every invoice is processed accurately on first pass, and that no line item goes unchecked. Bank Reconciliation - Maintain daily reconciliations across multiple entities. Oversee Budgets Oversee employee expenses - Verifying receipts, mileage logs, and other necessary documentation for accuracy. Producing ad-hoc documents and reports - Create various financial reports on request Profile The successful Accounts Assistant will have: Previous experience working within a Finance background Strong communication skills both written and verbal Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and Xero accounting software High attention to detail Can do attitude and eagerness to learn & develop Job Offer Salary up to £30,000 per annum Bonus opportunities Hybrid working - 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week Progression and development opportunities Holiday allowance Pension New modern office in the heart of Manchester City Centre
