We are excited to offer 3 Consultant posts in Older Adult Psychiatry.
Two posts are based at Horton Park Centre in Bradford and one at Manningham Health Centre in Bradford. All of the Community Mental Health Teams are established and are supported by a range of other professionals.
Main Duties of the Job
You will be required to work with the multidisciplinary teams offering assessment, treatment, and care for patients with time limited and/or complex mental health disorders. The successful applicant will work closely with other Consultant Psychiatrists in the community team and other teams. The principal aim of the post is to provide medical leadership to the team, contribute to service development and clinical governance, and be committed to quality improvement. Such medical leadership is pivotal to the success of the teams.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
* Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment. Included on the GMC Specialist Register for Old Age Psychiatry OR within six months Approved clinician status and under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.
* Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management
* Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. Previous experience of Older Adult inpatient psychiatry (either in previous training role / non-training role)
Knowledge and Experience
* Excellent knowledge in Old Age Psychiatry
* Experience to a level allowing recognition of trainer status by the Royal College of Psychiatrists
* Evidence of experience in medical audit and understanding of principles of clinical governance
* Excellent clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective
* Teaching/presentation experience (e.g. conference presentation, EBM, research experience).
