They report any observed problems to the appropriate supervisor or department and assist in coordinating repairs or maintenance tasks. Building/ System Maintenance, Repair and Operation\: Oversee the ongoing maintenance and operation of the facility's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems and fabric. This includes monitoring system performance/ building fabric, troubleshooting issues, conducting scheduled & planned preventive maintenance, and conducting/ coordinating repairs to optimise the efficiency and reliability of the systems. Contractor Management\: Coordinate and oversee the work of external contractors, service providers, and vendors. This involves contractor escorting and ensuring that the work is completed to the required standards upon completion, informing the facilities supervisor of any issues. Room Setup and Organisation\: Assist in setting up rooms and spaces for meetings, conferences, or events within the facility. This can include arranging furniture, setting up audio-visual equipment, and ensuring that the necessary supplies are available. After the events, they restore the rooms to their original condition and arrange the furniture and equipment properly. Supplies and Inventory Management\: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of critical spares, supplies, consumables, and other facility-related materials. They may place orders for replenishment, maintain stock records, and ensure that essential items are readily available for use. Record Keeping and Documentation\: Maintain accurate records and documentation related work activities. This includes the administration of DHLs CAFM system, logging tickets, updating work activities, accurate reporting of time and finances of specific jobs. Ongoing Training and Professional Development\: Responsible for stay updated with industry standards, regulations, and best practices by identifying and participating in relevant training and professional development opportunities. Safety\: All employees are responsible for the health and safety of themselves and also those affected by their activities. You must conduct yourself in an orderly manner within the workplace, ensuring that correct uniform and PPE is worn.
