The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is proud to be supporting the development of Sizewell C, one of the UK’s largest and most ambitious infrastructure projects. Sizewell C is a 3.2-gigawatt nuclear power station set to generate low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes for the next 60 years, playing a pivotal role in our energy future. We’re looking for a BIM/CAD Technician (Marine & Tunnel) to join our Digital Project Delivery Team, based at the SZC Project Office in London, with occasional site visits. This is your chance to make an impact on the digital transformation of a key national infrastructure project. You’ll be implementing BIM strategies and working closely with a team of professionals dedicated to ensuring the success of Sizewell C. In this role, you’ll: Implement the BIM Execution Plan using 3D and 4D modelling software to manage design reviews, clash detection, and model management. Support the development of the Alliance Common Data Environment (CDE), promoting best practices in both graphical and non-graphical data. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, driving innovative solutions in digital project delivery. Champion the use of cutting-edge technology such as BIM, GIS, and 5D modelling, ensuring that the project's digital information is delivered with excellence. Work closely with stakeholders, helping them navigate information management processes across the project lifecycle. To thrive in this role, you’ll have: Strong experience with BIM software (Bentley, AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360), and ideally some background in 4D and 5D modelling. Proficiency in GIS and an understanding of COBie asset requirements. A collaborative approach, with the ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders under pressure. NVQ Level 3 and 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role, plus a commitment to further professional development.
