Summary of role purpose:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager to join our rapidly expanding Corporate Treasury Services team. Our team is focused on serving the world's leading Corporate Treasuries with their most complex business challenges and is currently experiencing an exceptional rate of growth. The team offer deep treasury expertise in financial products and markets, risk management, systems, governance, valuation and accounting. We work closely with other high impact functions within KPMG such as Audit, Risk Consulting and Management Consulting to provide a wide range of treasury advisory services.
As a Senior Manager, you will liaise directly with your clients responding to a range of technical queries, drawing on your own expertise and identifying when additional input is required from other colleagues and subject matter experts across the business. Your role will also include leading business development activities, contributing to the team's growth and success. A member of the leadership team, you will be expected to promote, and role model the department's cultural values to your staff. You will lead teams and supervise the work of employees based in the UK and offshore locations. You will also have performance management responsibilities for a small number of staff.
Description of the role:
You will work in teams delivering projects across treasury transformation, technology, risk management and technical accounting advice (non-audited entities only).
Our work includes:
1. Selecting and implementing Treasury Management Systems
2. Treasury transformation projects related to cash management, payments, reporting, bank connectivity or cash forecasting.
3. Implementation of payment factories, in-house banks and banking integration solutions.
4. Developing and implementing Treasury strategies in regard to cash management, payments, collection, FX management, debt, investments and working capital.
5. Undertaking reviews and implementations of Treasury strategies, policies, target operating models, cash management processes, and technology and systems.
6. Conducting risk management assessments including foreign exchange, interest rate, credit and commodities.
7. Delivering Treasury advisory projects ranging from strategy reviews, target operating models, including providing input to larger, multi-disciplinary teams.
8. Thought leadership, presentations and marketing material.
9. Supporting the business development of KPMG's treasury system proposition/offering and assisting in the responses to client proposals, with a primary focus on Corporates, Listed and Regulatory.
10. Actively contributing to the Treasury strategy, team management and other non-delivery aspects of the role.
11. Performance managing junior team members, ensuring that you are having rich development conversations that support their growth and career progression.
12. You will hold an in-date relevant professional qualification to apply up to date knowledge and expertise whilst undertaking your day-to-day duties.
13. Other responsibilities will typically include accountability for leading teams; providing technical, risk & compliance management; operational and quality management support; overseeing project management, budgeting and planning, senior stakeholder management, and analysis and delivery of quality reports; taking part in tenders or proposals; and some performance management responsibilities.
14. Due to the nature of the role significant time may be spent at client sites/KPMG offices.

The person:
1. Experience working within an audit or accounting advisory function of a professional services firm at Senior Manager level. (D)
2. Experience working in a Corporate Treasury function with good technical knowledge of treasury strategies, systems, risk management, governance and controls. (D)
3. Sound technical knowledge of Treasury strategies in relation to cash management, payments, collection, FX management, debt, investments and working capital and their practical application. (E)
4. Strong knowledge of Treasury Management Systems, payment factories, In-house banks and BI solutions. (E)
5. Experience of managing teams, coaching and mentoring junior staff. (E)
6. Proven track record of managing and delivering high quality, complex projects with stakeholder deliverables. (E)
7. Business development experience with new and existing clients. (E)

A professional accountancy qualification from a recognised accountancy body is desirable.
