CNC Machinist / Setter / Operator

Our client is a global machinery manufacturer, and they are looking for a CNC Machinist to join their growing team!
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Setting / operating CNC machines, including lights out running
* Ensure a safe working environment to the individual and any other person
* Follow the machining process required ensuring components are machined to correct specifications
* Liaise with other team members, including machinists, engineers, and quality inspectors
* Escalation of machine malfunctions to initiate corrective actions to minimise downtime and ensure continuous production
* Record daily output targets, identifying the issues and potential solutions that contribute to missed targets
* Self-inspection of finished parts
* Work in compliance with safety policies
* Measuring & loading / unloading of tooling
* Change tooling / offsets in accordance with dimensions required
* Follow engineering drawings and work instructions
* Monitor & update daily TPM charts, raising any issues that cannot be resolved to the appropriate line lead / manager
* Maintain and improve 5s standards in the cell
* Identify and actively be involved in Continuous Improvement activities and events
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience as a CNC Setter / Operator in a manufacturing environment
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Ability to use precision measuring equipment
* Certification from a recognised machining program or apprenticeship (preferable but not essential)
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety instructions, standard works and manuals
* Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
* Ability to solve minor problems and recognise bigger problems that require supervisor assistance
* Ability to work within a team environment
* Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production deadlines
Working Hours:
* Monday – Friday (Week 1) 6.00am – 8.45am (30 mins lunch) 9.15am – 2.00pm
* Monday – Friday (Week 2) 2.00pm – 7.00pm (30 mins lunch) 7.30pm – 10.00pm
