The role involves efficiently delivering and collecting parts, planning routes, ensuring safe transportation, loading/unloading vehicles, maintaining daily defect records, and handling paperwork, documents, and payments. Key Areas of Responsibility: Review daily workload and check to ensure all relevant paperwork is attached and completed correctly ensuring fastest routes for delivery to meet SLAs. Complete the drivers record sheet and advise the Parts Distribution Team Leader of any defects that need to be corrected before the vehicle can be driven safely, accidents, breakdowns or any other event that affects normal operating schedules. Load parts for delivery, with the assistance of a forklift if required, using winches, ratchets, straps or chains in accordance with company standards for security and safety. Keep up to date and comply with all driving and transport regulations, company drivers manual, break regulations, route restrictions and provide on the job training and mentoring to new drivers as required. Responsible for always driving in a safe and courteous manner, completing defect records, accident reports and any other records or documents required for driving, deliveries, etc., in accordance with agreed standards and procedures. Ensure all payment transactions are completed accurately with the relevant documentation retained for the administration team Liaise with customers in a courteous and professional manner. Observe and adhere to relevant Health, Safety, Environment & Quality requirements in operation at other premises that may be visited during the course of the working day.
