What We Do We have been leading the fight against chest, heart, and stroke illnesses in Northern Ireland since 1946. We do this by working across four main areas: Providing expert care and support to those living with chest, heart, and stroke conditions. Preventing these illnesses by detecting early signs and empowering individuals to make healthy choices. Funding research to advance how we treat, care for, and prevent these conditions. Campaigning for better care, treatments, and awareness. As a charity, almost 90% of our work is funded by public donations. Our Culture Our Values are the principles that drive us, the things that are most important to us, and our motivation. They reinforce how we interact with each other, volunteers, service users, and stakeholders. Our people are actively engaged and well-supported. Team members are confident, enthusiastic, and work with trust and mutual respect. Our people are passionate about delivering high-quality services that make a difference.
