We have a requirement for 2 inspectors experienced in anodising and priming required to conduct the review of 4,500 metal detailed parts. Job Description: Based on the Isle of Wight over a period of 3 to 6 months. UK national travel and accommodation if required. Inspection of mechanical products to confirm compliance to drawing and customer specification requirements. Visual inspection Dimensional inspection, using hand measurement equipment Review completeness of manufacturing documentation (e.g. CofCs, routers, etc.) Document inspection, preparing non-conformance reports as necessary Update customer systems as necessaryRequirements: Must have a minimum of 3-years previous experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment, preferably within a busy machine shop Strong hands-on inspection experience, using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers. Open and supportive nature, with the ability to maximise a teams potential Familiarisation with Boeing specifications highly advantageous Knowledge of the special processes around surface treatment, anodizing and bonding Strong communications skills, both written and verbal Ability to prioritise workload, and meet stringent deadlines Familiarisation with Boeing Specs advantageous. Specific applicable standards, prior experience is advantageous: BAC5300-1 Surface And Edge Integrity Of Metal Parts BAC5555 Phosphoric Acid Anodizing Of Aluminium For Structural Bonding BAC5514 Common Bonding Requirements For Structural Adhesives Must be British citizen, or NATO nationality please.
