Job Description
Role Title: Engineering Manager
Role Purpose
This role is responsible for organizing the engineering team to deliver projects efficiently and driving technical discussions toward optimized solutions for project delivery. The role includes delivering engineering packages and scopes on EPCI type tenders and projects.
Key Areas of Responsibility
1. Technically responsible for engineering activities to provide services for projects, studies, and tenders, establishing requirements and implementing related procedures/guidelines.
2. Team organization toward the delivery of project deliverables and activities.
3. Resource identification and planning to meet forecasted activities.
4. Maintain awareness of industry trends and contribute to continuous improvement through networking and regular forums/meetings.
Key Tasks
1. Plan activities within the discipline or project for efficient execution.
2. Justify and defend engineering activities in front of clients in a professional and technical manner.
3. Apply knowledge and understanding to support disciplines interfacing with engineering activities.
4. Review engineering deliverables accurately across all disciplines.
5. Review client specifications and provide comments/alternatives if not within the capabilities of related disciplines.
6. Understand, apply, and follow client specifications along with best industry practices.
7. Organize client reviews to understand their perspectives on activities and ways of working before procedure submissions.
8. Provide leadership and consultation to technical leads and project managers.
9. Educate, mentor, and supervise less experienced staff.
10. Monitor and approve contributions and updates to design.
11. Optimize technical project and tender solutions.

Education and Qualifications Specific to Role
Essential Qualifications:
1. Post Graduate Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
2. Strong focus on technical knowledge within the discipline.
3. Good knowledge of cable laying.
Desirable Qualifications or Equivalent Experience:
1. Expert with proven ability across a broad execution spectrum.
2. Familiarity with relevant legislations and standards.
Demonstrable Experience Specific to Role
1. Engineering Discipline Manager (Minimum 2 years).
2. Project Engineering Manager (Minimum 2 years).
3. Project Engineer (Minimum 5 years).
