Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust
Are you a Registered Nursing Associate looking for a new challenge? If yes, then Guys and St. Thomas's NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) is the Trust for you!
We are currently reviewing the nursing workforce within Gastrointestinal Medicine & Surgery, and it is an exciting time to introduce the Nursing Associate (Band 4) role in our clinical workforce on wards to help deliver exceptional care to patients. We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated Nurse Associates who have an interest in providing person-centered nursing care.
You will be working alongside a highly skilled workforce of nurses as well as liaising closely with our clinicians & other members of the MDT including therapists and the POPS team to support patients throughout their journey from admission to discharge and deliver high standards of clinical care.
The successful candidates will be supported through a robust induction programme, an annual values-based appraisal, one-to-one meetings, and regular in-house training as well as clinical supervision. Training opportunities are supported by our Practice Development Nursing team and are actively encouraged by the senior team leaders.
Main duties of the job
The role of the Nursing Associate is to work with the multi-professional team and the Registered Nurse to provide ongoing assessment (excluding initial assessment), plan, implement and evaluate clinical care in line with service and patient needs, as agreed with supervising clinicians. The Nursing Associate works independently under the leadership of registered nurses, working within the sphere of nursing care and all aspects of the nursing process.
