Areas of Impact and Responsibility:
* Delivery of the corporate strategy priorities of:
o Raising standards in the industry.
o Delivery of the annual business plan and budgets which link to those priorities.
* Leading the development of the Commission's approach to licensing and compliance.
* Managing complex portfolios of operational regulatory delivery, including investigation and enforcement work.
* Developing and delivering a long-term strategy for the directorate, aligning with broader organisational strategies.
Internal Contacts: Board of Commissioners, Executive Directors, Programme Directors, Managers and Colleagues.
External Contacts: Central Government, DCMS, Other UK and International regulators, UK Crime Agencies and Operators
Key Responsibilities:

Profile
You will:
* Have proven experience in a leadership role specifically with strong Operations and Transformation experience within a regulated environment within government. (You will need to have a detailed understanding of how regulation is applied and experience in delivering regulatory outcomes)
* Have a track record of dealing with challenging regulatory issues and demonstrating excellent judgement and delivery
* Have experience in leading a team and its service delivery through change to enable improved service delivery.
* Have developed strong stakeholder management skills and can present information to a range of audiences
* Demonstrate leadership expectations, including coaching, developing and managing performance to achieve objectives
* Be used to working as a part of a wider leadership team to deliver organisational goals and objectives
* Be able to build a strong and inclusive directorate that attracts and develops diverse talent.
* Have management responsibilities for diverse activities within a major part of the Commission.
* Be a skilled communicator who influences and shapes the image of the business area you are responsible for (perhaps the industry)
Job Offer
* The role pays between £900 - 1100/day Inside IR35.
* The role will initially be for 6 months with likely extension.
