Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our service as an Associate Practitioner. You will be working independently and accountably as part of the nursing team and wider multi-disciplinary team offering 24 hour mental health access and information in the locality of the Trust. The Inpatient service runs 7 days a week, 24 hours a day for 365 days a year, working shift patterns.
Main duties of the job
You will act as a role model to other colleagues within the team, working collaboratively with key partner organisations, service users, clinicians, and other practitioners within the multi-disciplinary team.
You will deliver high quality, effective operational service to people with mental health needs, in accordance with the principles and objectives of the Trust and its vision as identified in the service. The position requires the successful candidate to work flexibly and undertake a change in role at short notice.
You will work collaboratively with others within the organisation to provide an exemplary level of care to service users and their carers. You will take a lead role in the physical health needs of service users and provide training in aspects of care to new starters on the unit.

* The ability to work with keyworkers to support in the development of service user’s plans of care, implementing interventions as outlined in service user’s care plans.
