A&P NORTH EAST – Quality Engineer
We're looking for a meticulous Quality Engineer who thrives on ensuring that every project we deliver meets the highest standards of quality. If you are passionate about creating and maintaining Inspection Test Plans, this may be for you.
So what will you do?
* Review client IP to determine quality requirements like material grade, welding process, NDE requirements, intervention points, acceptance criteria, verifying records and any stipulated intervention points.
* Develop, manage, and update inspection test plans for projects.
* Ensure all reports generated during the manufacturing process are completed; you'll be building the manufacturing record books.
* Collaborate with our project team to ensure the ITPs are aligned with requirements.
* Conduct weekly surveillance tours of the units and ensure any quality concerns are brought to the attention of the project/production teams.
* Work with the team to resolve identified quality issues.
* Attend and contribute to project progress and quality meetings.
And what are we looking for?
* A degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related field.
* Experience in quality engineering and inspection plan management.
* Technical expertise and knowledge of marine processes, materials, and industry standards, with a keen eye for detail and understanding of the importance of quality.
* In-depth knowledge of quality standards and regulations.
* Organisation, communication, and diplomacy skills developed through both working on projects and within teams.
* IT skills with various Microsoft packages such as Pro, Word, and Excel.
