Security
Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check. People working with government assets must complete baseline personnel security standard checks.
Nationality requirements
This job is broadly open to the following groups:

1. Knowledge and understanding of the work of the Criminal Justice System and the Probation Service.

Question to be asked at interview: You must hold a Probation Officer qualification or be a qualified Probation Officer, with successful candidates holding one of the following:
1. PQF Honours Degree/Graduate Diploma and Level 5 Diploma in Probation Practice;
2. Diploma in Probation Studies;
3. Diploma in Social Work (Probation option);
4. CQSW (Probation option).
