Are you passionate about delivering high-quality meals and making a difference in your community? We're seeking a dedicated Weekend Kitchen Cook/ Meal Delivery Driver to join our friendly team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to both community meal delivery and in-house catering services for our valued clients.
The role will be initially a fixed term contract for 6 months, due to a temporary increase in meals and will be based from our Centre in Deal, where you will receive free parking, refreshments and an enhanced annual leave entitlement.
We are looking for someone to work 16 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday, 6.30am-2.30pm.
We are offering a salary of £25,480 (pro rata to the number of hours worked).
Key responsibilities:
* Prepare, cook, and serve high-quality meals for both community and in-house services.
* Maintain high standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality control.
* Supervise catering colleagues during shifts to ensure smooth operations.
* Manage food preparation, portioning, and service, while supporting the Catering Manager in stock control and ordering.
* Ensure kitchen hygiene and cleanliness, adhering to Health & Safety and Environmental Health regulations.
* Support the Community Meal Delivery Service, including delivering meals to clients when required.
* Be a team player.
* Secure the building at the end of shifts and ensure equipment safety.
* Adhere to all charity policies and procedures.
Skills & experience:
* Previous experience in a commercial catering environment.
* Clean full driving licence and access to a vehicle (for meal deliveries as required).
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate or willingness to complete training.
* Experience with Microsoft 365 or a willingness to learn.
