As they continue to grow, they are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our dynamic team. About the Role
The HSE Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs across our organisation. This role is crucial to ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, fostering a culture of safety, and minimizing risks within our chemical manufacturing and processing facilities.
Working as part of a small, close-knit site management team for a large brand within their field you will lead the Health & Safety function across the manufacturing and distribution site.
As part of the role you will:
1. Contribute to HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) Management System and process developments.
2. Deliver effective reviews to achieve continually improving levels of quality performance.
3. Support the integration of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Systems.
4. Be responsible for internal and external quality audit processes.
5. Provide expertise and problem-solving capability through Health, Safety and Environment Management System knowledge.
6. Contribute to and implement health and safety strategies in line with group standards and health and safety management responsibilities and performance.
7. Support the integration of the local Health and Safety Management System to achieve overall Site Accreditation to Standards.
8. Actively contribute to the development of the Annual Site Business Plan.
9. Lead, coordinate, and manage HSE objectives to deliver required results.
10. Lead, coordinate, and manage continuous improvement projects and initiatives to improve the overall performance of the site.
11. Support the creation, development, and delivery of HSEQ projects and improvement plans.
12. Coach colleagues on audits, behavioral safety, investigations, Risk Assessments and PMS to improve the effectiveness of these systems/processes.
13. Support the development of colleagues throughout the operation in their specific HSE roles and responsibilities.
Your Experience
Candidates will need to have the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment.
