Location: We operate a flexible hybrid working model across the UK, with colleagues linked to one of our contractual locations in Newport, Titchfield (Fareham), Manchester or Edinburgh and working between office and remote throughout the week.
Salary: £41,364 - £46,654 plus up to £3,000 scarce skills allowance

As a Senior Data Journalist you will be responsible for delivering impactful content for citizens in collaboration with specialists and statisticians across ONS. You'll work closely with content designers, data visualisation specialists, graphic designers and our social media team on a range of innovative digital content formats.
You'll generate quality ideas for new content, taking the lead in managing projects and negotiating with stakeholders, helping to shape how statisticians publish their content.
Who are we looking for?
First and foremost, someone with solid Journalism experience, used to generating ideas for journalistic content sourced from data and presented in a range of formats for different demographics/types of users. You can write clearly, provide accessible insight and have extensive experience editing other people's work.
In addition, you're experienced in Stakeholder management, dealing with a range of internal & external stakeholders that could be involved in the creation of content - taking the lead in these relationships and helping to ensure all needs are heard and met as best as possible!
Otherwise, you're comfortable analysing data to find the stories within it, you can deliver high quality work to deadlines, taking the lead coordinating projects like this and you're experienced with using multiple different digital content formats to deliver and explore information.
