Job summary We are looking for an Estates Mechanical Technician - Water to join our busy, hardworking estates team. As an Estates Mechanical Technician you will assist the Senior Estates Officer (Operations) and be responsible for assisting in the provision of a high quality, efficient, responsive, flexible & effective estates service. You will plan, manage and deliver PPM's in relation to Water Safety. Ensuring action plans are developed and delivered in relation to all incidents related to water safety e.g., system temperature excursions, elevated counts. Main duties of the job To be part of the Estates escalation process and assist other estate staff at all levels with technical works and technical problem solving where requested. Including the supervision of Estates Trade Staff teams and contractors as appropriate. There is a requirement to participate in Estates on-call rota to ensure that emergencies and major problems occurring out of hours are attended and resolvedTo carry out inspections, tests, repairs, installations, as directed on Trust property, plant and infrastructure reporting any faults found. To undertake work as identified on allocated works dockets, completing the works and updating the Trust CAFM system in a timely manner. Organising and coordinating your own workload, and manage assigned trade staff work load as required. Carry out duties and apply specialist skills in at least one of the following areas:o Water Safety (core role)o Ventilation / HVACo Building Management Systems Learn new techniques to develop your own skills as appropriate to ensure that the most effective methods are used in the course of your work. Demonstrating your own activities to new or less experienced employees, providing advice, training and technical support. Deal with major incidents such as loss of services to critical areas, loss of medical gas to critical areas, loss of heating and hot water services to critical areas.
