We are seeking a Diesel/Hydraulic Service Technician for our client in Inverurie. This is a permanent opportunity, perfect for an experienced technician looking for a new challenge. In this role you will play a key role in improving the assembly of products through techniques and problem-solving, while ensuring health and safety standards are followed. Qualifications & Experience: Completed a time-served apprenticeship in HGV/Plant Mechanics. National Certificate (NC) in a relevant field. Higher education in a related subject (desirable). Proven experience in a mechanical-based profession. Practical experience in a service and repair environment. Proficient in operating basic hand and power tools. Forklift and overhead crane certification (desirable). Key Responsibilities: Interpret and follow written instructions to accurately assemble products. Service and repair systems according to established procedures, maintaining cleanliness in hydraulic systems at all times. Monitor products and equipment to detect faults or defects. Create detailed reports on all equipment serviced and repaired. Diagnose and troubleshoot faulty equipment. Conduct on-site visits to client premises for calibrations and repairs. Support key initiatives such as on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and quality cost control. Contribute to the development of new techniques, product improvements, and machinery purchases. Generate and implement process improvements and encourage idea-sharing within the team. Carry out tasks to meet target objectives.
