This is an exciting opportunity to join us as Director of Corporate Affairs. Reporting to Chris, our Deputy Chief Executive, you’ll lead the development, facilitation, and impact measurement of our business strategy, ensuring alignment with colleagues, customers, and partners. This is a pivotal role for us and you’ll build key relationships with external bodies and partnerships to influence policies and decisions, while maintaining a strong internal and external communications strategy to protect and enhance our reputation.
Some Key Responsibilities Include
1. Lead on developing our business strategy, ensuring the plan is well researched, evidenced based and that its impact can be measured.
2. Develop and implement our corporate approach to strategic communications, ensuring messages are communicated clearly to colleagues, customers and external stakeholders.
3. Lead on our corporate approach to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, ensuring progress is impactful, measured and reported.
4. Ensure the Research and Policy function supports strategic direction and informs future priorities for Thirteen.
5. Deliver a strong marketing function that enhances and protects the Thirteen brand.
6. Ensure the customer offer for your service area, and Thirteen overall, considers cost and quality and is delivered in a way that provides a great experience.
7. Work collaboratively, internally and externally, to ensure that the voice of colleagues and key customers are actively used in product/service design.
As a Senior Leader, You'll Have The Following Attributes
1. A confident, independent, and visible leader who is an effective decision maker.
2. A relevant degree or professional qualification, or demonstrable work experience and evidence of continuing professional development.
3. Understanding of the requirements to develop and deliver a corporate communications plan across a range of media types.
4. A strategic thinker who understands how internal and external pressures affect and influence the business planning process.
5. Well-developed corporate branding skills and an understanding of delivering an excellent customer-based service in a complex organisation, with both social and commercial activities.
6. Excellent influencing and policy insight skills, ideally within housing or the public sector.
7. Someone who leads, inspires, motivates, and develops colleagues at all levels, with a commitment to working in partnership with others to achieve our vision, values, and priorities.
8. Works effectively in partnership with customers, colleagues, boards, and partners/stakeholders.
9. Produces clear, concise, and well written reports on complex issues by interpreting information, carrying out research, analysing complex data, making sound judgements, appraising performance, and managing risk.
