We are looking for a Senior Bridge Inspector to support the Bridges team at Align Property Services.

As a Senior Bridge Engineer Inspector,
You will work collaboratively with a team of inspectors, engineers, and technicians across our multi-disciplined workforce to deliver on bridge projects. Leading the organization and efficient execution of bridge inspections, you will report your findings in accordance with contractual agreements. Occasionally, you will oversee special inspections, such as those involving diving and confined spaces. Your expertise will enable you to make informed decisions when investigating structural defects, and you will escalate these findings to all relevant parties to ensure the safety of all bridges throughout North Yorkshire. You will act as a mentor to junior inspectors in the team, offering your guidance and support to ensure they reach their full potential.
To be successful in this position, you will be able to demonstrate the following essential skills and qualifications:
1. Hold a HND / HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with substantial experience in leading on the inspection of bridges, working within an engineering design consultancy or Local Authority.
2. Hold a Certified Bridge Inspector qualification or working towards would be desirable.
3. Trained with sufficient experience to ensure personal safety of yourself and others whilst working on the highways network.
4. Experience of working at heights, over water, and on railways with a strong understanding of the Health & Safety risks associated.
5. Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills.
6. Hold a clean, full UK driving license with the ability to travel across the county.
