The post holder will be responsible for supporting and developing clinical leadership and practice within the in-patient unit, providing expertise and support as required. They will work closely with the Matron / Operational manager to ensure effective and high-quality service provision, including maintaining unit environmental standards. The post holder will focus on ensuring that service users and their carers receive care in high-quality, safe environments at all times and will support the development and implementation of a range of strategies to achieve this goal.
The post holder will lead training for the service, supporting managers to develop staff. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with training, developing and delivering training when necessary, and supporting the local training program for newly qualified nurses.
Core hours will be 9-5; however, there may be occasions when it is necessary to work outside these hours. The post holder will also participate in the local on-call manager rota, which in exceptional circumstances may involve attendance out of hours to support junior staff with serious incidents.
