Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting the medical staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy and excellent patient care skills to provide effective support to patients and their families.
Duties
* Conduct patient assessments and record vital signs accurately.
* Assist with minor surgical procedures and provide pre- and post-operative care.
* Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
* Educate patients on health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in line with data protection regulations.
* Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
* Participate in health promotion activities within the community.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice.
Experience
* Previous experience as a Practice Nurse or in a similar clinical role is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for effective patient assessment and care.
* Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care with empathy and professionalism.
* Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
