Adecco Public Sector are currently partnered with a key Regulatory body to recruit a Business Portfolio Manager for an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. This role offers remote working however occasional attendance to the organisations London offices will be required in alignment with team meetings etc. The Role As the Business Portfolio Manager, you will play a key part in supporting the organisation to achieve its vision by developing an effective, practical and transparent process to enable the management of all business activities. Reporting to the Deputy Director Performance & Corporate Governance and with strong business management skills and experience in PMO management and reporting, you will be responsible for creating the Business Plan and then ensuring that all activities on the Business Plan are delivered on time and to budget through Portfolio Management. You will be responsible for developing a process for the collation of activities across the organisation and for ensuring that the Senior Management Team has full visibility of known and developing risk to the delivery and or budget of the Business Plan. Responsibilities Portfolio Management for 24/25 Business Plan Owning the Portfolio and Project Management processes, tools and techniques Working with directorates to ensure both Portfolio and Project Management processes are followed and documented Collating Portfolio reports monthly, meeting with PMs in the directorates to challenge content (including RAG ratings and risk) and performance Coordinating Portfolio Meeting monthly, including administration and inputs / outputs including the Change Control process Developing analytical heatmaps for benefits and milestones Drafting / reviewing / approving project level documents at Stage Gates - Business Cases / PIDs / Close Reports Providing updates / presentations on Portfolio progress monthly to the Business Delivery Team Business Planning for 25/26 Collating ideas for core operations including KPIs Collating ideas for projects including benefits and milestones Creating and delivering presentations based on these ideas Creating narrative business plan for senior stakeholders Creating detailed operational business plan for use across directorates Facilitating workshops and meetings as required About you To be successful in the role you will be able to display the following skills and experience: Experience of working across boundaries to deliver business priorities in a Portfolio Management / PMO setting Experience of creating Business Plans Knowledge and experience of using data intelligence. Strong analytical skills, able to review large quantities of information from a variety of sources in a variety of forms and identify, categorise and prioritise key issues Strong written and oral communication skills, able to manage stakeholders deftly and effectively and to write clearly and persuasively in plain English High level of self-awareness, able to appreciate impact on others, keen and able to learn from what has gone well and what has not Able to work successfully independently and as part of a team
