About the Role:
We are delighted to be recruiting for an Administrative Support Officer on behalf of our client, a highly regarded residential care home in Cheltenham. This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys a varied, hands-on position and has experience with payroll. You will play a key role in supporting the Office Manager and ensuring the smooth running of the office. Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide essential support to the Office Manager, helping to maintain smooth and efficient office operations.
2. Handle payroll tasks, including data entry, processing, and addressing any queries that arise.
3. Ensure accurate record-keeping and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
4. Assist with scheduling, appointments, and support in organising meetings, events, and training sessions.
5. Be the friendly, welcoming first point of contact for visitors and general enquiries.
6. Monitor and manage office supplies, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
7. Identify opportunities to improve office processes and suggest practical solutions.
8. Offer support for a range of administrative tasks and projects as required.
Essential Skills:
1. Proven experience in payroll administration, with a solid understanding of payroll procedures.
2. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise efficiently.
3. Friendly and approachable manner, with strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, residents, and visitors.
4. Proactive and practical attitude, willing to take the initiative and step in wherever needed.
5. Competent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and payroll software.
6. High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
7. Experience in a similar administrative role, particularly in the care or healthcare sector, would be beneficial but is not essential.
