We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Inspector to work for an international manufacturing company supplying components to the Aerospace industry. The Mechanical Inspector will work the night shift providing Quality and Inspection support and will develop the Right First-Time philosophy. If you have previous experience of Mechanical Inspection gained in the Aerospace or similar industry, then we want to hear from you. What's on offer: Salary £36,159pa shift premium of 33% and paid overtime Monday-Thursday 7.30pm - 4.30am, Friday - 2.30pm- 7.30pm 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Death in service benefit of 2 x annual salary Company pension scheme Employee Assistance Programme Free on-site car parking Duties: Maintain quality control within the manufacturing process Check and verify the compliance of components produced at all stages Perform First article inspection and non-conformance procedures Support and promote continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing processes Work within cross functional teams to support the business Complete First offs and batch workSkills & Experience: Must have an engineering background with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications Technical knowledge within the aerospace sector preferred but not essential Competent in use of verniers, micrometers, bore micrometers, height gauges and DTI (Digital Test Indicators) Experience in a quality control environment preferred working to ISO9001 Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision with excellent attention to detail CMM would be an advantage Must have practical problem-solving skills This company will not provide sponsorship Candidates will need to be able to gain UK security clearance Call Julia prime for more information
