Summary
Redrow Homes are looking for an individual who is enthusiastic about supporting others in an office environment. Working as an apprentice you will support with the day to day running of a busy office undertaking various administration duties on a day-to-day basis. The successful candidate would need excellent communication and IT skills. As part of the apprenticeship, you will be studying a L3 Business Administration with one of Redrows chosen training partners.
Key Responsibilities
1. Answer the telephone / take messages.
2. Typing, photocopying, scanning, and laminating.
3. Greeting visitors in a professional and courteous manner and calls.
4. Raise purchase orders using in-house system.
5. Monitor stationery and reorder as required.
6. Reception cover as and when required.
7. To ensure the reception area and meeting rooms are tidy.
8. Receive goods/services into reception and keep a log of deliveries.
9. To monitor and process post both in and out.
10. Assisting the Senior Secretary and other departments with mailshots, reports, presentations, etc.
11. Support with administrative assistance to various departments within the divisional office.
12. Ensure familiarity with Redrow’s Group Health, Safety and Environmental policies and comply with employee responsibilities.
13. At all times comply with company policies, procedures, and instruction
What we are looking for
14. IT literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office packages
15. 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at grade 4 or above (Grade C+) or an equivalent
16. Willing to learn
17. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
18. Ability to take on instructions
19. Excellent organizational skills
20. Able to work in both a teams as well as own initiative
21. Able to work to tight deadlines in a pressured environment
