About The Role
The role of the Shopper & Customer Lead is to develop the right strategy and team to be seen as the Lighthouse in Haleon for Shopper Marketing Excellence, by implementing external retailer and shopper execution plans to support the delivery of the LOC go to market plans. Through the use of Category data, Shopper Insights, execution principles, and commercial mindset, the C&SM Lead role is to design, develop and implement initiatives across all retailers covering our total Portfolio of brands here in GB. This is a core leadership role within the commex LT and the development, upskilling, and support of the wider team are fundamental to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop plans to drive market share growth for key priority brands across (HC, Wellness and OC).
* Deliver and define an execution and visibility strategy, that can be executed, measured and tracked.
* Execute thought leadership strategy with key retail partners, based on current and future scoping shopper insights.
* Develop & Execute Retail Media Blueprint for GB with a view to this being scaled in Haleon.
* Liase with global category counterparts to ensure optimised shopper execution strategy and toolkits are relevant for GB market.
* Work cross functionally with Marketing, Category & NRM Leads to ensure shopper & execution strategy is hitting brand and commercial objectives & aligned to deliver visibility aspirations.
* Ensure we have winning at shelf & off shelf plans led by category and shopper insight.
* Lead allocation and management of total A&P shopper budget to maximise ROI and deliver against brand objectives, and customer segmentation and backed with data.
* Lead out execute strategy through RGM by driving visibility obsessed mindset that seeks to win at shelf & in store by putting the shopper first.
* Influence CBIA teams to ensure refreshed shopper insight is driving the shopper marketing plans, identify gaps drive focus linked to consumer first mindset.
* Ensure plans are insight led and drive testing to provide objectivity and ensure consumer first mindset.
* Ensure evaluation framework drives insights to optimise our execution from an ROI & brand objective POV.
* Lead last mile execution to ensure one source of truth and alignment of upcoming activation to ensure.
* Drive commerciality & ROI measurement to ensure shopper activation is optimised and driving impact for the business.
* Lead the strategic direction of our Field Execution Team ensuring fully optimised to drive maximum visibility and that we are winning at shelf and instore.
* Collaborate with agencies to ensure our brands are activated in disruptive, impactful way and connecting with shoppers through the CEJ in a relevant and personalised way.
Skills / Experience
* Demonstrable strong commercial management experience balancing across channels, and accounts.
* Ability to influence at all levels, build strong external relationships and capacity to work in a matrix environment with very strong communication skills.
* Proficient in translating shopper insights into actions, understanding data and making meaningful actions/decisions and suggestions from that data.
* Extensive team leadership experience.
* Deep understanding of Category, Consumer, Shopper & Customer connections at channel level through a marketing or analytical role.
* Good grasp of Shopper and Category Management principles.
* Experience of portfolio mix of brands at shelf.
