If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Care Brokerage Officer to join our team About the Role: As a Care Brokerage Officer, you will play a key role in arranging and brokering care services for individuals, ensuring that all commissioned services deliver a person-centred approach that promotes independence, dignity, and choice. You will work closely with care providers, local authorities, and internal teams to secure cost-effective, high-quality care placements that meet individual needs. Key Responsibilities: Ensure care and support placements are arranged efficiently, with a focus on quality, cost-effectiveness, and person-centred care. Work closely with providers, negotiating costs and ensuring placements align with budget agreements. Build strong relationships with providers and stakeholders to ensure service availability and continuity. Maintain compliance with relevant Care Act requirements and contractual standards. Source and broker a variety of care provisions, including hospital discharge, community support, mental health, and learning disabilities. Provide timely updates on care placements, ensuring accuracy in contracts and financial arrangements. Contribute to and celebrate the success of the team, supporting colleagues and sharing knowledge. Encourage and listen to new ideas, be positive about change, and provide constructive feedback. Support continuous improvement in service delivery, contributing to projects and process enhancements. Knowledge and Skills Required: ? ICT Skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and other relevant systems.? Data Handling: Ability to collate and analyse data, prepare clear presentations, and take succinct meeting notes.? Diary Management: Experience in supporting senior members of staff with scheduling and administration.? Attention to Detail: Strong proof-reading skills and ability to ensure accuracy in documentation.? Creativity & Innovation: A problem-solving mindset, using curiosity to recommend and implement improvements.? Interpersonal Skills: Ability to develop solutions, communicate effectively, and build strong relationships.?
