Job Title: ARC Rapid Response Worker Starting Salary: £30,559 progressing to £33,366 per annum plus 6% market enhancement Hours: 37.0 Location: Welwyn Garden City Contract Type: Permanent Directorate: Childrens Services About the team ARC Services offer therapeutic support to young people and their families across Hertfordshire, through many different interventions. We are looking for friendly passionate people to join our Rapid Response to join our team and help us make a difference. No two days are the same as we work in a trauma informed creative way to prevent families breaking down. Rapid Response workers work closely with social care teams, education, police, Out of Hours Service and Health. About the role This is a diverse role which involves a variety of tasks such as: Supportive phone calls and visits to families during crisis. Working alongside the police to de-escalate a situation. Supporting a young person home from hospital, Running group activities for the young people including geocaching, bike rides, festive events, sporting activities, arts and crafts. About you Essential Experience of working with young people and or families. Ability to think on your feet and remain calm under pressure. Demonstratable skills in resilience and ability to look after yourself and others. Ability to work 2 out of 4 weekends a month, days shifts, evenings, and bank holidays. Computer competency with the ability to record concise detailed reports A full UK Driving licence, access to a vehicle on a regular basis and Business insurance. Desirable : Level 4 Apprenticeship in Residential - please note that if you have not completed this you will be required to do so - college time is included within your hours. A therapeutic way of thinking - although training will be provided on ARC Framework, Non-Violent Resistance and Developing Therapeutic Skills.
