McLaughlin & Harvey are one of the leading Building and Civil Engineering Contractors operating throughout the UK and Ireland. We are seeking to recruit an experienced Document Controller to join the team. The Document Controller will provide a hands-on service to support the Pre-construction and Construction departments within the business in the control of project and technical documentation. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the accurate controlling of all documentation through the approved Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). The Document Controller will also be expected to undertake the following duties, however not limited to: Provide support to the Pre-construction department by setting up each tender project in accordance with the Document Control filing system and Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). Uploading and distributing of all tender information to each Pre-construction tender team. Manage and update the tender document register to track all information received through each stage of the Pre-construction process. Set-up and manage tender workflows for Framework projects and 2-stage tenders. Liaise with the Design Management and site teams on project set-up requirements for Framework projects and 2-stage tenders. Carry out quality assurance checks on all information uploaded to the project EDMS. Complete and update tender project guidance documents. Provide support and guidance to external parties and internal staff on the use of the EDMS. Liaise with the project Estimator and Submissions Manager on contractor proposal information and ensure this is recorded as part of the tender submission. Receive and process all incoming correspondence and technical documentation. Always implement and conform to information management procedures. Liaise with the Design Management and Document Control teams to maintain the project(s) tender document control filing system. Conform with ISO19650-2 information management requirements. Experience Desirable: Prior knowledge and experience of Document Management Systems. Competency with the full MS Office suite, particularly Excel. Construction industry experience. Prior knowledge and experience of the common data environment, including Viewpoint for Projects and ASite. Full training will be provided on the project specific processes and use of these systems.
