About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Manchester. This full-time, long-term position begins in January 2025 and offers a fantastic opportunity to support teachers and students across the classroom.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils learning and development while helping to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Work with small groups or individual students to provide tailored support, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Support pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development, both in and out of the classroom.
Help with classroom preparation, lesson resources, and general day-to-day tasks.
Monitor pupil progress, offering feedback to the class teacher to support ongoing development.
What Were Looking For:
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, proactive, and passionate about education. You should have:
A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (or equivalent).
Previous experience working in a school or with children of a similar age.
A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for this role, you must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
Have an enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
Provide two professional references covering the last 2 years.
Have up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential, as training can be provided).
