Quality Safety and Environmental Officer
Location: St Ives, Cambridgeshire
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Benefits: 22 days holiday + 8 bank holidays rising to 25 after 1 years’ service, annual summer and Christmas social events, free onsite parking, company enrolled pension, discretionary annual bonus.

Our client is serious about quality and safety! It is ISO9001 and CHAS accredited and currently working towards ISO14001 certification. A small, dedicated team is already in place to handle quality, health & safety, and environmental matters, supported by an external consultant. Now, the company is looking for a team leader to take charge of these activities. This role would suit a graduate with relevant qualifications or an industry professional ready to step into a leadership position. They’re seeking someone with a hands-on, flexible, and proactive attitude to help take things to the next level!

Duties to Include:
* Oversee and implement the Quality, H&S and Environmental Management Systems.
* To work with the existing team to enhance and embellish existing practices
* Conducting internal safety, environmental and quality audits and then working with staff to address non-conformances and to implement opportunities for improvement.
* Establishing quality and safety metrics for product and service excellence.
* Leading the development and implementation of policies and programs that ensure product compliance with external and internal standards.
* Facilitating training sessions for employees on quality improvement and safety practices.
* Monitoring ongoing performance and quality control systems to ensure products meet consumer expectations and regulatory standards.
* Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Preparing reports on quality and safety issues, investigations, and other significant outcomes based on the data collected.
Skills/Experience required:
* A degree within Mechanical Engineering or related degree or relevant experience within a similar role.
* The ability to multi-task and meet set deadlines
* A good working knowledge of MS Packages
