Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Bank Assistant Chef at our CQC registered, mental health service at Montague Road in Felixstowe.

Though we refer to the position as Chef, it is also known as Demi Chef, Line Chef, Cook, Chef de Partie (CDP) and Commis Chef.
The role of Assistant Chef will include:
* Assisting with the planning and creation of nutritionally balanced meals for our employees
* Promoting and monitoring food hygiene and safety standards
* Carrying out risk assessments and cleaning the kitchen to a high standard
* Assisting with the supervision and development of staff
* Maintain kitchen stock, equipment, and resources within budget
* Follow procedures in relation to cash handling and till operations ensuring compliance with the Group’s policy
Skills and experiences:
* Previous experience of working in a catering environment
* A valid food hygiene certificate is essential
* NVQ2 in Hospitality & Catering
* Proven knowledge of health and safety procedures
* Excellent cooking skills with an understanding of produce and ingredients and use of catering machinery
* Good interpersonal and customer care skills
* Some knowledge of dietary requirements and the impact of food types on medication
