Cook 2 required to assist the Catering Manager of a large school kitchen.
You must have a year’s supervisory experience as well as cooking skills/experience. You must have the ability to motivate and direct a small team and work on your own initiative.
Part of your duties within this role will include the following:
Organising the day-to-day running of this kitchen, ordering of supplies, control of portion sizes, rota management, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, follow procedures.
Be able to approach problem management with ease
Deal with any complaint
Having knowledge of the following would be beneficial to this post:
Evaluating food costs, menu planning, managing the kitchen budget
H.A.S.A.W. and CookSafe, computer skills.
Also be aware of the current food trends and customer awareness.
