We are currently looking for a Paralegal Trainee to join our Legal Services. You will be working within the Social Care & Education Team which is responsible for advising and supporting the Council’s Children’s and Adult Social Care Services, Education Department and Schools.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting social care and education solicitors, particularly those solicitors who deal with child protection cases.
The Duties
A typical day in the life of a Paralegal Trainee could involve:
* Collating evidence and preparing it for disclosure
* Drafting documents and correspondence
* Updating client departments on the progress of cases
* Liaising with the courts and defence solicitors
* Attending court with solicitors or barristers
The Candidate
To be considered for the role you will need:
* A law degree or equivalent
* Good communication and drafting skills
* A good understanding of the law.
