Job Description
OBJECTIVE:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and managing all maintenance activities within the rubber production facility. This includes ensuring that machinery and equipment are operating efficiently, coordinating preventive maintenance programs, and managing a team of maintenance technicians. The Maintenance Manager plays a crucial role in minimizing production downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring safety compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Team Leadership:
* Supervise, train, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and support staff.
* Assign and prioritize maintenance tasks, ensuring efficient use of resources.
* Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
Maintenance Operations:
* Develop, implement, and oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all production equipment.
* Ensure quick response and resolution to equipment breakdowns to minimize production interruptions.
* Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems within the production environment.
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime.
Safety & Compliance:
* Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
* Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of equipment and work areas.
* Implement and enforce lockout/tagout procedures and other safety protocols.
* Stay updated on OSHA and other relevant regulations to ensure compliance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position is responsible for supervising all Employees, Supervisors, and Team Leads within the Maintenance Department.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The work environment is not temperature controlled and the employee may be exposed to high heat work conditions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Exposure to moderate noise levels is probable.
TRAVEL:
* Semi-frequent short distance, and infrequent long-distance travel may be required.
* Travel and interaction between Meteor Creative facilities may be required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a related field is required. Experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
* 5+ Years Experience in a manufacturing environment in Maintenance or Engineering is required.
* Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred.
* 3 - 5 Years of Management Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY:
* Effective attention to detail, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills are required.
* Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills including the ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively.
* Ability to always exercise good judgment and professionalism. Ability to coordinate and assist with day-to-day production functions.
* Experience and demonstrated skills/knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), ERP Systems, and accurate data entry.
