Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced chef to join a close and welcoming group in our new acclaimed London restaurant, Chapel Market Kitchen, Oyster Bar & Grill. We have received fantastic reviews, including recently from the Sunday Times, and we are looking for a chef. You should also be experienced in a high-quality kitchen environment. Our chef will work with our executive chef to ensure the quality and consistency of our menu offerings.
Responsibilities:
1. Be a member of the kitchen team in the preparation of dishes, ensuring quality and consistency.
2. Maintain a clean kitchen to the highest standards.
3. Oversee food production, ensuring adherence to recipes, portion control, and presentation standards.
4. Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.
5. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
6. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
7. Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as sous chef.
2. Desire and ability to work in a close group.
3. Kitchen work experience.
4. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, flavors, and food trends is a plus.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
7. Strong organizational and time management skills.
8. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
9. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £15.00-£22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
