Primary Role: As a CNC Setter/Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision parts and components in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and production schedules. Your expertise will ensure efficient and accurate production using milling machines from leading brands such as Mazak, Bridgeport, and Brother, across 3-axis and 5-axis platforms. Experience with controls such as Mazatrol, Heidenhain, and Fanuc is essential. Key Responsibilities: ⦁ Set up and operate CNC milling machines ⦁ Install and configure tooling and fixtures as per setup sheets ⦁ Monitor and manage tool life to maintain efficiency ⦁ Verify manufacturing standards through the use of precision measuring instruments ⦁ Obtain First Off inspection approval for every operation ⦁ Accurately record operation times using the Shop Floor Data Capture system ⦁ Adhere to all Health & Safety (H&S) policies and procedures ⦁ Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Requirements: ⦁ Strong background in subcontract CNC manufacturing ⦁ Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC milling machines ⦁ Experience with any of the following Mazatrol, Heidenhain, and Fanuc controls ⦁ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings ⦁ Competence in using precision measuring equipment Benefits: ⦁ 20 days holiday plus bank – 1 plus day per year (max 24 days) ⦁ Pension ⦁ Enhanced Sick pay (after 12 months) ⦁ Overtime – average 10hrs per week (when needed) What next? ⦁ Do you have the experience?
