The successful candidate will share our vision and values of achieving excellence and our commitment to continuously improving the standards of teaching and learning in a dedicated and forward looking team of 4 teachers, including the
Curriculum Leader and Subject Director. The Geography department delivers Key Stage 3 Geography over two years and Key Stage 4 over three years.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has a strong ethos of high achievement and success within the Learning Area
• Has the ability to create, plan and deliver a Geography curriculum that will develop pupil’s skills, knowledge, understanding and their love for learning in the 21st century
• Is skilled at fostering independent and collaborative student-led learning
The Geography team are an enthusiastic and committed team who pride themselves on not only delivering a dynamic curriculum, but also offering a range of extra-curricular Geography to help foster a love of Geography and desire to learn. Termly,we complete our beach clean afterschool and we also run an annual Geography Fieldwork which is extremely well received and feeds into the KS4 curriculum. We have great facilities across the Humanities Faculty, which is extremely friendly and supportive.
